MMORPGs
How many dudes and dudettes here play an MMORPG? And what are your general impressions?
For me, I played a gnome mage to 30 on World of Warcraft a couple years ago. The game was pretty fun, and I enjoyed playing the Deadmines when I reached them, but I eventually quit because I didn't have time to play nor the money for the subscription fee.
But now I'm playing LOTRO. L28 dwarf guardian on Brandywine. I'm having fun but I'm generally just playing it because they offered lifetime membership and I could afford it at the time. My idea is that, since I'm on a limited college budget, I'll play Middle-Earth when I feel like playing a video game and not buy anything else. The game is pretty and the crowd is mature, but honestly I've been doing a lot of reading about Age of Conan and appreciating the design theory so far. I'm debating playing AoC when it comes out instead, even though I'm not a big fan of PvP or of AoC's half-nude women (lawl kewl), because the combat system and the endgame sound excellent. We'll see though.

Aghhh help
A note on the filesize: for me personally, it's really not a big deal to download a 150 MB RM* game. I delete the game when I'm done playing anyways, rather than stocking up some kind of LIBRARY of them, which I know is popular with the minority of indie RPG players. Go ahead and make it large, most people have several GB free to put the game anyways :).
By the way, what I've seen of ToA on your game page looks gorgeous. I especially like the battle setup from "test" and the panorama you used in "cave test." I'm not too familiar with RMXP- did you do anything custom to make that battle scene, in either coding or graphics? Also, did you do that panorama in "cave test" yourself or rip it from a commercial game? Either way, well done :D.
And, uhm... if you like, I could test your demo for you. I can't promise I'll finish it if it's long, because I'm pretty busy right now with college classes, but I'd at least try! I really look forward to playing this someday!
P.S. WIP is a dumbiehead and he wears funny clothes; obviously you'll need real substance behind the game to make it any good, because a pretty game that isn't fun to play is obviously a bad game, but from what I've seen I definitely hope you don't compromise on the game. Maybe you can use better, smaller file types to decrease the size of the game somewhat? Even if you didn't, it wouldn't make a difference to me, really. That does bother some people though, so maybe you should check that out.

Games you think should be on RMN

I've been e-mailing and PMing a lot of these guys asking for permission.
If anybody can reach Legion on AIM and ask him to submit some games already, that'd be cool, in fact it would be ice cold. Also we still need to reach Kamau on Gamespot. Finally, we don't have a way to contact Rast or the creators of any of the games listed without an author, so please volunteer if you can help at all.
Bump!
We now have 7 games in queue to add ourselves (WIP told me it's possible but didn't say how.)
If YOU can contact MaladroitHim, Legion, DarkPriest, or Kamau in any way, asking for permission to add their games, then please volunteer and do so!

Achievements are great and everything, but do you REALLY need to be acknowledged for your virtual accomplishments?
yes (my gamerscore is five BILLION)
why else do I play games besides to be the best?
Newbie here :)
Welcome! Yeah, I'd also recommend Phylomortis.com, especially for sprites and tilesets. Also, you might want to try experimenting with the resource generators at Charas (http://charas-project.net/charas_ex.php?lang=en)- you can use bits and pieces of existing graphics to create unique-looking new stuff for you to import and use.
And yeah, I should probably also try learning RM2K3 or RMXP, but I can't bother with it :).

Reminisce
Sounds like you've already made a demo which I haven't played :o! But yeah, it all looks really nice. I think the criticism about the lack of tree trunks for the tree canopy is justified, but it's not like you're not acknowledging it. Anyways, it's not like hours of drawing tree trunks will push your game over the top :).
Building up Lakeside sounds like fun! Oalston's underground bestiary sounds like a lot of work, but it would be fun to check out a couple times just to see how things are going. I'm not sure I'll find the place useful for actually fighting any monsters, since I'd expect to only visit completed floors full of monsters that are too below level for me. However, you're putting so much time into making it cool that I'd want to see the place at least once!
Your maps seem well-designed and pretty, albeit with old Mac & Blue graphics, and most of the other graphics like charsets and portraits are unrecognizable to me. I don't know much about playing with Duran or Eleina, but your description of Rasche makes him sound useful! Just a small suggestion though, probably not feasible at this point of development, but I want to throw it out: it'd be cooler if he were like FFX's Wakka with the ability to exploit enemies' status weaknesses, and if, instead, all characters were naturally stronger or weaker versus some enemies. Again, I don't know enough about characters besides Raschel to make an accurate judgment, but I hope you've implemented physical and elemental weaknesses and strengths for other characters besides him :o.
One final thing, not directly on the game.. I kind of wish you wouldn't tell me all the locations I'll be going to, nor giving descriptions of what quests I'll be doing. I don't mind it if you say I'll be doing a big dungeon area called Highvalley, but it feels like a small spoiler when you say I'll be going to find Duran's mom. Just my opinion :).

We ban a dude just because he makes a dramatic exit post? That seems extreme. We could, you know, "rise above it" and just ignore the guy, rather than punishing him for being a dork.

I'm really confused. I looked at your profile and your only game is LoZ- The Next Generation. I didn't see anything about an Itrizana game.
If you can't wait for WIP to fix the Games section so that you can correct your game and download links, can't you just create a new correct game page with correct download links?
I'm just frustrated because you're resolved to leave already, very upset, rather than trying to get some help and work with us. For example, if you're familiar with IRC, you can get online to chat to some members live by connecting to irc.dynastynet.net, #rpgmaker.net channel. Or you can e-mail me at yolindo at gmail dot com, or write about the problem in more detail in this actual topic. But we can't really tell what your specific issue is, so we can't really address it or try to help you.
This is especially rotten because your LoZ game was scheduled for release relatively soon :-\.
